The Village of Chatham will be starting their seal coat program beginning June21, 2021 and will continue until July 16, 2021.
The areas that will be covered this fiscal year are; Buckingham, Churchill, County Rd, Downing, Mansion Rd, Nottingham, Oxford and Westminster. As the crews prepare the roadways, residents should expect to see tree trimming, road patching, oil and rock trucks along with heavy equipment in the area. please be cautious, drive slowly and be aware of roadway personnel.
The Village has contracted tree trimmer to remove low hanging branches that would interfere with roadway equipment. Once the trees have been trimmed the contractor will come back and remove all limbs that have been placed at the side of the road. Be on the look out in your area for door hanger notifications.
The Village will be handing out flyers to the residents; the notification will contain a date that the street will be oiled and chipped, also a request that all vehicles and trailers be removed from the roadways.
